Day 18: Setting sail

This is for Day 18 of a challenge 30 Days of Writing started by Nicky and Mike of We Work For Cheese
Today’s prompt was: Setting sail

Cloud Nine looked very similar to this
When I was a kid my grandparents owned a sailboat. A 38 ft. long Morgan. We spent many weekends down on the Chesapeake Bay sailing with them and staying on "the boat" It's name was "Cloud Nine".

Looking back now as an adult I realize how very fortunate I was to be able to do this. It not only was fun, but it allowed me to bond with my grandparents.

They took it down to the Florida Keys each winter for many years and lived on the boat throughout the winter.

My grandparents have both been gone for many years now and I wish I had just one more day with them to sail and talk. I miss them.

  2. What a wonderful name for a boat! And how lucky you are to have those memories of your grandparents.
