I have never had a blintz, and actually have no idea what they taste like let alone where I could get a good one.

Anyone want to enlighten me???
They look like rolled up pancakes.....*shrug*

  1. I decided to make 'em to find out. ;) Basically rolled up crepes with a delicious filling. And something on top, usually. They are quite tasty!

  3. Hey Barb! I hope you've had yours already? That leaves three; one for P.J., one for Dufus, and one for Ziva, and ... Oh. Damn. Hmmm, did Z have hers already? Indigo x

  4. I've never had one, either, but those sure look good with the blueberries!

  6. I would love to know how to make them... you can actually get some "ok" ones at IHOP... you should try!

  7. They're crepes, but filled with a crème cheese filling, sometimes called Blini and topped with cavier. Fancy name for yummy food.

It's the cream cheese filling that makes it.

Now I am hungry. I guess pancakes are in the future. I don't have a crepe pan. le sigh

  8. The crepes I had were delicious so I imagine a blintz would be just as tasty.

  9. I guess blintzes qualify as "soul food". You know, bad for your health, but good for your soul. At least for five minutes. Then maybe it's all bad.
