#4 Friendship

30 Minus 2 Days of Writing

Or as I like to refer to it... the OMG are you an idiot for agreeing to do this writing challenge? See the other masochists participants Nicky has strong-armed invited  over at We Work for Cheese.

That moment when you hear someone call your best friend their best friend and you're like.....Ummmmmmm no bitch.

 ~Alfonso Martinez

The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they're okay, then it's you.

 ~Rita Mae Brown

Friends: ask you why you're crying? Best friends: Already have a shovel ready to bury the loser that made you cry.

A good friend will bail you out of jail. A Best friend will be sitting there right next to you saying "DAMN...That  was fun".

~Unknown

We'll always be best friends, you know way too much about me.

  1. Hey "Mom"! May I call you... Barb?

Hey, this is so true! "We'll always be best friends, you know way too much about me." I'm told I have one of those faces that attract secrets ;)

  2. I think I may have some form of mental illness. But those other 3 will never tell.

  3. I laughed so HARD at this. It perfectly describes my two best friends growing up, seriously - they're gone now, but boy howdy did this make me smile thinking - "Yep that's Paul and Dana to a tee."

And now they all certainly describe my very, very best friend ever. My husband. Especially the jail and the shovel one. Whew, we had some good times when we first met, and through the first couple of years, and well...we STILL are. But we try to stay out of jail. ::wink::

    Thanks B! You're the best.

  4. So I had to Google who "Rita Mae Brown" was because I was thinking it was the character that Whoopie Goldberg played in "Ghost"...and I read that it's a feminist writer whose partner is Fannie Flagg.

Ordinarily that wouldn't have meant anything to me - except for the fact that my Priest here in Montgomery went to the prom with Fannie Flagg as his date (they went to high school together).

Odd coincidence I thought...and worthy of passing on just for being random. :)

I just remembered - It's Oda Mae Brown (Whoopie's character) I think - I have to Google now. It's not easy living the anal life. Sorry - that sounds bad...I meant I'm anal. They should find a new word for that...because, well, I have health issues "around there" - I know, I know, TMI!

Did I mention I took my Ambien already?

  9. These are awesome! And, if I think of my 3 best friends, those statistics are incredibly off. :-)
