This is for Day 14 of a challenge 30 Days of Writing started by Nicky and Mike of We Work For Cheese in which several other bloggers and I are participating for the month of June. Today’s prompt was: The short hairs.
Remember these two? Two of my best friends?

If you have ever owned a lab you can commiserate with how they shed. Labs have short dense coats. And they shed year round...24/7...
I love my girls dearly but if there was one thing about them I could change it would be how much they shed. I could vacuum every stinking day and still miss some! Even cheergirlie finds their hair when she is back @ JMU!
I have tried those special brushes, taken them to the groomers, etc to no avail- they still shed -all the time! :)
But... I guess that's a small price to pay for all the love & devotion they show me!
We can't have labs because my hubs is allergic to them but if he wasn't, I would think that cleaning up the hair is totally worth it! They are wonderful companions!!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, that's something we pet owners have to put up with. Some pets shed more than others, but it would never stop me having them :)
ReplyDeleteCat hair everywhere is the norm in our house. So is typing with a cat draped from your lap across your arm with one paw on the keyboard. Rosie is making this very interesting.
ReplyDeleteThat's why we have a no-shed dog.
ReplyDeleteThose are a couple of great looking dogs. You're very lucky.
ReplyDeleteI dig animals, but man can they shed for sure! Dogs, cats etc. I'm with you on the shedding part!
ReplyDeleteThey are some good lookin' dogs! I feel your pain with the shedding. My cat seems to be part lab or something, 'cause she sheds all the time too.
ReplyDeleteCute dogs, I have a lab mix myself. Well, I'll stop there (It's rude to comment longer than the post!)
ReplyDeleteOh, dear. Don't complain about the "hair of the dog", so to speak. I have six dogs - some short hair and some double-coats. I have hair tumbling around like tumbleweeds 27/7. Seriously. Literally. It's the nature of the beast. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBut I LOVE your pooches!
